Prosperity Buddhism a matter of time

Prosperity Buddhism is not a question of if but when as long as the bastions of Buddhism succeed rapidly and spectacularly in Economics. I have seen it with Christianity and there is no constraint for any religion to go down the same path. Scriptures can be read and interpreted to make anything possible.

I wrote recently in this blog that Confucianism vs Success is no contest who wins. In fact, anything versus success, the winner is success.

Over the last few days I heard again and again on FM 93.8 someone spoke about how the children of the slums have nothing but are always happy. Try to sell that to our kids, many of whom have no life living in high pressure Singapore. You will not get buyers. The PAP understand this hard truth well but some opposition parties do not. Good luck to them.

I would like to return here years later to check with Prosperity Buddhism has taken root.

  1. Yes, where mega-churches thrive, temples are also catching up.
You can't stop Capitalism, especially for a big country like china with billion up and coming middle class and the parvenus. Same goes to India. Is unfortunate but the rise of these superpowers will have a spillover effect in the regions, like it or not. Country that doesn't have a solid grounding in their principles * social values will be swept over it by this tidal waves (aka sin city) as we are witnessing now.
