My impression is Bertha was very clear about the issues and what she wants. The government sent TCJ because he is the best guy for them to lose with their dignity intact. How I wished he wouldn't accept the Star Wars chessboard. What a huge concession from a minister, and what more of conceding with playing Ewok. His finesse came from skirting around how he toyed with being Darth Vader but of course he couldn't take on that role. He also knew he can't bring the wisdom of Yoda to the program. He could have pushed for a different chessboard. Keep the scifi theme but say will appear as Captain Picard in Star Trek. Since the Pop. White Paper, the government have not got its ship in shape. Very disappointing.
Unfortunately, true to his title, he was play-acting in this role.

Not because he has insights into the 'policy' works and minds of the MDA Chief & MCI Yaacob. Shame on them, for not being able to stand up to the scrutiny of the very legislation they thrusted it down our throats. This is yet another arrogance, let's execute first then explain later behind the "20/20 hindsight'! Nobody is stopping them from retracting and removing it, what are they waiting for?
