Even if I do not expressly say so, many of the postings here are for my children's benefit.
It's good but hardly a big deal to be ranked number one in Asia. Were it a Chinese, Korean or Japanese university it would be a bigger deal. We deal in English and so it is only meaningful we are compared against the best universities which teach in English. On this score, we are credible but hardly anywhere near the top.
So let's get our feet firmly planted on the ground here. When our graduates start to look for work they would be competing more seriously than say a Beida, SNU etc.,
