Caught 5 boys behind the roof graffiti


Now the police have found and taken in the infamous five. Infamous by our laws but not in the hearts of quite a few. How many I don't know but enough going by the comments left on Facebook and the huge number of likes which I wish to record and remember.

They were only 17 years old! Aren't they considered minors? Why is CNA suggesting 3 years jail 3 strokes of the cane? I think it would be stupid to use the law against them. Even terrorists don't get caned.

The law has its logic that is incomprehensible to the rest of us except those in the legal profession. If the government want to maintain support they better educate the public or we would think Parliament is screwed to pass or fail to update our laws. They suggest the government priorities are wrong.

  • Thilaga Kumar 3years jail!? Wow...so harsh!.... Oh my they are just a year older than my son. I hope it can be reduced. I hope they get a good lawyer. Concern about their future. 17years old and they are politically inclined? They are young boys who believed in something and was frustrated and didn't know where to and how to show it. C'mon proper guidance and counselling should be given to them and not jail term! People who usually stood up against some policies always .........

    Well, their ONLY mistake is to start from the wrong side....other than that some kind of truth and emotions of common men were prevailed.

  • Alex Tan A heavy punishment of these 17 year olds vandals will invoke more hatred against the PAP. Rather, it is a golden opportunity for the PAP to display its merciful side through the special intervention by the Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam Sc. The correct punishment should be counselling, not jail and cane. This will only plant the seeds of hate not only among these youngsters, but among others.

    It will only create more frustration as to how justice is meted out in our courts. Something is very wrong somewhere.
