Philip Jenkin's Jesus Wars

Took this book from the library since I was not willing to pay the ten bucks for the kindle version.

The early Christians were horrifically violent! If you think militant Islam is bad, the Christians were worse.

I don't have the time to pay attention to every page of the book, but what was clearly absent was Christians being gracious to each other.

That "my kingdom is not of this world" among the last words of Jesus when he was tried by Pontius Pilate didn't apply in their shameful conduct.

The takeaway is never to mix religion with government. That is a sure way to bring hell to earth.

The Church must only possess moral authority. At no time must they have legal or political power.
