What the good Mr. Tan had not realized or didn't say is that his experience isn't peculiar going out of London. At least flying from Frankfurt and New York SQ is facing light loads too. Qantas loss had been very public because they cancelled their entire order of Boeing 787s after hefty losses. You can't get more pessimistic than this.
The global economy is slowing very rapidly. Brace yourselves for what is coming. Could be ugly.
