87 vs 0: A divided Singapore

Either we have a divided parliament or we will get a divided Singapore. Every party fights to win; all seats if possible. It is happenstance if their win is our win as has been the case for many elections. Unfortunately in this instance it is not going to be.

If the PAP gain the whole of parliament, our society would be divided. Far too many people, including me have waited years to use their votes to talk to a deaf PAP. We have enough disenchanted and angry people whose voices would not have the necessary representation. If some seats go to the opposition and provided they are quality members, our society would be more united. This truth dawn on me as I was behind the wheels on the road this morning.

Never imagine that national service now means voting for the opposition in case the WP fails to score in Aljunied.

I have no confidence in the PAP to reform itself. Why should I? They don't even know they are in a box prison. Only one of them, the smartest one has realized it. One against the cabinet. It is a non-sequitur.
