So happy for Tan Swie Hian. Someone ponied up $3.7 million for this lovely painting. I am sure those in the know can see and appreciate it far more than I do. My only education in paintings came from a book, "the Divine Commodity" which van Gogh works were explained. It's magical.
I imagined local artists are now quite excited with vivid imaginations of how Tan Swie Hian is blazing a path which they might some day trod themselves.
