Giving to those in need

Wrote the cheque last night and posted it early this morning before I fill the car tank. It is so convenient that post boxes are available at Caltex stations.

This is answered prayer because we wanted to help those who nobody knows need assistance. We used to give to the Salvation Army but after a while noticed that they have no problems getting public support. We never gave to NKF as I always even in the early years had this feeling in the gut that they cannot be trusted. We also never gave to NUS our Alma Mater since we don't believe the philosophy behind how a public university is funded. NUS need to be more accountable with how they accept foreign students at the expense of locals too.

I like Cornell's mindset that they are not elitist but elite. I just learned that earlier today from my ex boss. Her son has just been awarded the Merrill Presidential Scholar. They had asked him to nominate a teacher from his high school, which tell will fly him or her over to Cornell to celebrate the occasion. The want to honor and inspire this special teacher. Now that's is right spirit. So happy for all of them. On the other hand, NUS is elitist and has the wrong value system.

I am sure this young man will always be grateful and loyal to Cornell. He will give back sometime. NUS has a long way to go but first it must do something about its DNA.

Change the people, and you change the DNA.
Different people, different values, different DNA.

Oh wait. I know! I know!
NUS needs to carry out a National CONversation with people like you.
This should change things in a hurry.
    ROFL.
