Since the last few unforgettable and quite rare floodings, the NEA has taken to issuing heavy rain alerts and warning of flash floods. All the warnings had been unnecessary. Now, if you are a business that takes subscriptions to provide flood warnings, you will be in trouble. You warned of floods when almost always there are none, you will be out of business.
The reason I made this post is to use it as an example to illustrate the culture of the civil service. If you want to be good, accountable and fit to compete anywhere, avoid joining the civil service.
The culture of the civil service needs to change because their work affect all of us. I hope this is one small voice adding to lots more voices in the days to come to influence the government to make the necessary changes.
