For my kids, a good introduction to the debt problem in America and how we are all in it together. To make it easy to understand, it must over simplify the case. That's the way to learn. Next tear down the simplified features and graft on something more rigorous. Tearing down and rebuilding that's how you learn. In fact we always learn by making mistakes, taking in the wrong ideas. Just simply because we are doing it intellectually and nothing is broken in front of us from playing with it, we assume we aren't learning from mistakes.
How to start thinking beyond this: Excellent introduction but only from a certain popular point of view. There is an historical inevitability that got them and us to where we are today that people are ignoring because nobody is interested in the truth in so far as it can be used to achieve their objectives.
