Ps Khong ambushed ESM Goh on LGBT
First noticed this issue when Ravi reposted it which led me to Ps Khong little spiel in front of ESM Goh. Then another pastor Miak Siew with a different view weighed in. Who is right? I think the question is too academic when divorced from its context. Is eating a cadaver to stay alive until rescue arrives abhorrent cannibalism?
What happen to S377A is not decided by the churches, mosques or temples. Parliament will decide and must have enough support from the electorate before it would be repealed.
Look around, the proponents for repealing S377A is gaining impetus. Anti-LBGT groups are on the defensive. You can guess given time what the outcome would be.
To me Ps Khong missed the elephant in the room because he had missed bad marriages and dysfunctional families. Adultery and broken marriages constitute a greater threat than what he had listed. I am sure after you have successfully attended to the elephant you will be ready and clearer with what to do about S377A. If the churches had been more successful at fostering strong families I wonder if there would even be a S377A issue. Likewise if Christians had always been more Christ like would there be the evil Crusades?
So regardless of which camp you belong, don't tell me what the Bible say until you live it. You will find that your mind will be transformed and you will have some wonderfully positive surprises like Jesus long ago also caught us unaware.
