Floriade 2002, ten years ago

It was this week ten years ago that we made a hurried and last minute trip to Floriade 2002. No direct flights were available and we took the crazy route with JAL to Narita and than Schipol - a very long trip. We wanted to take our late mom  to see her favorite - flowers.



During the trip we promised ourselves that we would be back ten years later. Floriade 2012 is happening now in Venlo, which to us is a dumb venue, the furthest from Schipol airport you could imagine.

For years and than months we tracked the development of Floriade 2012. We saw what we could online, read the reviews and decided we shall not spoil the wonderful memories of Floriade 2002 with 2012.
