Retractable earphones

We have quite a few of these earphones to the point that all our computers are so quiet. I wouldn't even know if the speakers are still functional!

Retractable earphones are very convenient especially on Notebook PCs. The problem is that they are not durable. I have lost count, but I think we have easily damaged at least five of them!

As it is no longer easy to find them, I suppose this less than happy experience must be shared by many owners too.
