Singnet Down

My Singnet connection was down for about two hours this afternoon. I thought my Linksys modem might have kaput, but that seemed so unlikely. I tried to reach Singtel unsuccessfully. You know they put you on hold forever. It was my third attempt that I got through, i.e., after almost two hours. Tech informed me that it was a problem on their end. They will fix it within half an hour. Guess what? The connection came back almost immediately after I hung up. Perhaps they were sleeping at the switch. Had I not called, it would take an even longer time for them to notice?
