Islam: From missionaries to becoming terrorists

Explode that lower red box clarity here:

These folks did not start out to be extremist or even go beyond the edge into terrorism. They were devout Muslims and giving Islamic teachings a lot of attention. Along the way it changed. How it happened should be the subject of an important study. We want to know and identify Islamic "stem cells" and fix this before they turned extreme and un-Islamic in every way except in name.

But some aren't like the rest and I think they are the majority too. I presume these are the every day Muslims we are most familiar with: good caring people. They probably knew less about their faith's teachings but lived the little they knew, compared to those who are puffed up in knowledge and ended up with dangerous leanings.

Climate Change: The Art of the Stupid

Link to article.

Once again but on a subject of utmost importance the immoral man is indulging in the Art of the Stupid with his supporters. Might as well right? It is common sense that he cannot win anyone who hasn't support him and will never, the smart thing to do is to preserve your base. Most presidents try to broaden their base once elected but that is impossible for him. Playing the Art of the Stupid is just cynicism and taking advantage of fools and idiots i.e., his base.

Tiny, tiny amount? is what his base of deplorables would take away and nothing else. Trump is abusing the findings of the MIT report but the protests of these scientists even if it reached his base would be waved away. That is how self defeating and foolish these people are. How do you help them? They appear like wired for their own destruction but we must not let them take all of us to ignominy with them.

Update: 9:30 am

Got this from the Economist.

"insult the intelligence of his supporters" Methinks not. More like recognizing their stupidity and exploiting it for his own short term benefit.

There is no cure for such foolish stupidity. Society will have to carry this burden until they die of illness or old age. In a more brutal age they get suppressed or shot, which was what happened to the Luddites in Great Britain.

Update: 5:50 pm

Here is some organized stupidity which helps this large segment of Christians stay stupid and gullible. They are a vote bank for Trump and a disservice to everyone including themselves because they don't know and don't want to know. I bet they still believe childhood vaccination cause autism in children. They are the Christian Broadcasting Network or CBN.

Climate Change: Making Trump irrelevant

This is what I saw first thing I tap on the top most item on my phone this morning. I made the following notes which OneNote time stamp at 5:20 am

There is no better deal especially when you do not even represent the majority of America on this natter. Just on this issue alone is sufficient to motivate and energize an incredible amount of opposition to make sure you stay no more than one term.

As I flipped through the myriad news sources and subscription trying to dipstick the mood, among them was one from the WSJ and I was looking for a paper that is not anti-Trump all the time.

Exactly, the rest of the world is too big from Trump to oppose. We would move on without Trump and the shrewd business people would also leave him behind especially the MNCs which have to operate by global norms.

No point getting angry with the deplorables who put him into office and the complacent ones who failed to turn up to vote against him. The best way to make something good of a bad situation is to make Trump irrelevant. Even the mayor of Pittsburgh is on the same page.

Mayor Peduto reacting to Trump that he was elected to serve the people of Pittsburgh and not Paris.

and here is the newly minted French President showing leadership, which we will need to fill the vacuum America is leaving.

Make our Planet Great Again.

America has a fool for a President. Can't wait to see him exit and afterward I am quite sure the history books will be scathing with him.

Death of Truth and Facts in America

In the noisy cacophony of America, it is good to hear from one of our own first hand his experience there. The above is the story of Ravi Velloor eye witness account of America today. And I reproduce the part marked out in a red box.

Enough white Americans have become so cynical and suspicious that they do not know or care what the truth or facts are. Unconsciously they ended up agreeing with Trump who gave voice to their prejudices. Since those are shared by many, it became truth. Very quickly lies turned into truth because it felt so right.

Felt like the death of truth but it is too early to write its obituary.

Facts are terribly persistent and will always figure endless ways to remind you of your disrespect of it through failure and pain. Suit yourselves if you are so stubborn and foolish to want to learn the hard way.

I pray that there is enough time for that. If we survive this, we will be better off. Fortunately I think the chance of that is quite good.

Opioid Crisis: Dealing the American way

The US is a society that loves to learn lessons the hard way. As an outsider I naturally saw it differently from them and my first lesson about them leaning this way was Japan's bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Big business or organized pressure groups are always taking them for a ride. This is just one of countless instances when business studied the consumer for vulnerabilities and duly exploit them for profit.

Always this word: misrepresentation

Matched to the gullible, mixing in the pot and prepare a stew

misrepresentation +  gullible = profits.

Unless civil society and government protect the public, many will be harmed. Everywhere business try to seize or failing that effectively bought the commanding heights of the economy hoping to be there forever. Of course that never last and winning societies are those which can battle each other and resolve such issues non-violently.

M1: Extra 200Mbps for nothing

M1 sent me this almost a month ago, enticing me to renew my contract with them.

I decided to let it expire because I know I would not get a worse deal during PC Show and CEE 2017. Here is the deal

i.e., 200Mbps faster for waiting.

My Asus RT66U is coming to four years old. I wonder which "free" Asus router they are "giving away". Might go with the 1Gbps instead but like they say the devil is in the details.

My PC one year later

I just checked this blog. My PC is already a year old and it still feels like new. Asus has kept the design but updated the Intel processor from the 6th to the 7th generation. The price has also gone up.

Two more years before the warranty expires.
