Selecting a case for the Kindle Touch

Got this case which I brought with me during our SF trip to pick up and hold the Kindle Touch. Bad choice as the Kindle can fall out if you are not careful.

Received this new case yesterday which fold over the top of the Kindle ($15.99). Now the Kindle won't fall out accidentally.

He has no heart beat

First thing I did this morning was to check my phone and this was the message I got. Uncle James is gone :-(

An exemplary and outstanding husband, father and patriot. On and off he had appeared on TV and our papers.

Making a desperate move

Driven to make an unthinkable and desperate move last night. As I waited for enough time to pass for the action to be taken, I looked from the park bench and took this shot. So many of them have moved in already. It was a wonderfully pleasant evening with a light breeze. I would have like to tarry here but there are  many things to get to. I replied to an important sms and rushed home. It's the children bed time soon.

Half the time I wondered if I had done the right thing, but I am bereft of ideas. I was quite shocked and frightened by Cai Ling's book. Never so afraid before over something that exist only between pages! All digital these days.

Blue Screen of Death returns

A most unwelcome blue screen of death just a month away from the anniversary it started acting up.

Then I was dogged by such problems until I had the motherboard and hard disc replaced under Acer's extended warranty.

The warranty has since expired. If this PC kaput again, will have to pay up for a replacement. No regrets. It has provided a good service for almost four years.

Breakfast at Suntec City Food Court

Simple breakfast at Suntec City food court this morning after we had fetched the girls to different schools.

Hasn't had rice cakes in years (80 cts each or three for $2). I had two pieces. Not bad.
